The Product Vision

The AquaTrace Monitoring System is a building automation product and insurance policy that monitors building performance. The system functions by sending roof status data to the cloud where it is analyzed to ensure maximum leak protection. In the event of  leak, the system alerts subscribers in real time, using a wide variety of notifications options. AquaTrace detection improves traditional leak detection, by adding contextual location data of the leak resulting in increased asset protection and reduced insurance premiums.

Product Map Sprint

AndPlus initially worked with the AquaTrace  to develop a thorough understanding of their end users, process workflows, and overall product vision. The product map sprint included workshopping solutions, solution selection, user journey mapping, solution prototyping, and wire framing. 

Working closely with the AquaTrace team, AndPlus also helped AquaTrace by adding  backend platform functionality. AquaTrace needed an agency with extensive IoT and cloud experience and AndPlus delivered yet another perfect 5 star review.

Agile Approach

With the product roadmap completed, the team kicked off the design and development process. Two-week sprints allowed us to deliver software often and iterate quickly based on feedback and usability testing.

AquaTrace worked with a team of 6 full-time AndPlus employees, including UX design, project management, software engineering, and QA.

The teams at AndPlus conducted a thorough peer code review after completing every user story. This ensured correct application logic, reliable and accurate application operation, and that all business objectives were met. This meticulous approach to design, development, and QA made the AquaTrace project a great success.

 

The Result
Working alongside AndPlus, the team at AquaTrace was able to go to market with a state-of-the-art IoT system. The AquaTrace leak monitoring system provides real time asset protection for buildings around the globe. The cloud system is secure and quick to send out critical building leak notifications. The alert system has multiple activation methods and can be customized to each users' preferences. Other features include a weekly data analysis report, and BIM/BMS software integration. For AquaTrace users, the solution delivers real time notifications, asset protection, improved roof performance, and reduced insurance premiums. Best of all, AquaTrace provides building owners with a new level of awareness and peace of mind.
